Jim and Susan Knight spoke in part two of Calvary Churches Family Collective series. The topic was parenting in difficult times. Jim and Sue focus on helping parents move teens from innocence to independence by giving parents a lens to view the teenage world. Parents are reminded that the teenage years are both a special time and also a battle. Parents need to think highly of their kids and also lean into the work. Parents need to prioritize the marriage, gain emotional control, and wisdom as they parent. Susan gives parents a glimpse as to what is going on inside the head of a teenager and how we need to talk with them, not at them. Jim leads parents through the positives and negatives of the personalization of social media.
