Each generation brings similar challenges to teenagers. Every generation faces new obstacles that can be foreign to their parents. Once upon a time, the dominant topic of conversation was sex, drugs, and rock n roll. Today teenagers face new pressures like increasing loneliness, fear of saying or thinking the wrong thing, the paralyzing nature of freedom, a technological onslaught of information, the need to always be present, a 24/7 identity cycle, and a lack of direction. These pressures are creating cracks that have real consequences.
